Auditions for A Gilbert & Sullivan Christmas Carol are coming up soon! There are LOTS of roles, both singing and non-singing (a full list is available from the Auditions page), so we hope to see lots of you at auditions - or virtually! Read on:
Auditions will take place Tuesday, Sept. 3 and Wednesday Sept. 4 from 6:30-8:45 in the Shaw Room at Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St, 14614. (There is free, lighted parking across the street in the City Hall parking lot.)
- Auditions for singers will start at 6:30pm; actors auditioning for non-singing roles can arrive at 7:00pm.
- Those auditioning for singing roles should prepare an excerpt from a Gilbert and Sullivan song (or a piece in a similar style). Please bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
- Readings will be provided.
- It is not necessary to audition if you want to be in the chorus. To join the chorus, you can sign up at auditions, or simply attend the first rehearsal on Friday, Sept. 6th at 6:30pm.
- Video auditions will be available upon request. Please email the director, Morena Heyden, at: mheyden217@gmail.com to discuss this option.
- Rehearsals will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 6:30-8:45pm at Downtown United Presbyterian Church. Not all cast members will be called for every rehearsal.
We welcome cast members ages 14+, but cast members between the ages 14 and 18 must have a parent/guardian/responsible member of the cast present at all rehearsals.
